Пух: Итак плейлист Килли Не помню было такое или нет) Cillian was interviewed by Shortlist.com back in March about what he is currently listening to in terms of music. John Lennon - Mother The Beatles are my favourite band, but it’s Lennon’s solo stuff that makes the list. I hadn’t heard Mother in years, but I’ve rediscovered it and can’t get enough. It’s so beautiful – a classic that’s so lyrically devastating. I think it’s Lennon’s finest solo work and still under-appreciated. Having your mother die by the time you’re 18 is harrowing, and he always used music as a way of dealing with things. Vampire Weekend - I Think Ur A Contra I’m a bit old to rate a band on fashion, but chinos and Ralph Lauren seems to work doesn’t it? I had Vampire Weekend’s (pictured below) last album, but this track from the new one is different to their usual stuff. I get all my music from the internet now and very rarely buy a CD. Broken Social Scene - World Sick This is off their new album and I think they’re a cracking band. The Broken Social Scene stuff always has a fantastic production quality. If you were to say there are politics in the lyrics here, you’d be on the right track – it’s full of subtly obtuse lyrics. You have to see them live. They can fill any venue, and they have such amazing energy. Local Natives - Airplanes They’re like an urban Fleet Foxes. They have those three-part harmonies and built-up choruses, but with more of a street pastiche. Airplanes is really catchy and it stays in your head. I’ve caught them live and love bands who can go into the studio then pull off their songs live. That’s the real test, isn’t it? Van Morrison - And The Healing Has Begun I’m a big fan of Van Morrison. My dad used to play quite a lot of his stuff when I was growing up and his songs have been on my iPod for a long time, but I recently saw a play and its entire soundtrack was Van Morrison. It’s uplifting and, as much as I like Radiohead, I enjoy a tune that makes me feel optimistic. Beach house - Take Care I saw these guys when they supported Grizzly Bear. Beach House create sort of dreamy pop music, especially in Take Care. It has an amazing chorus, a great hook and summer vibes that we need at the moment with this weather we are having. Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks Two Weeks was a summer song for me and is an amazing tune. It’s got a little bit of melancholy in there too, but is still catchy pop. Grizzly Bear (below) are from America, yet I saw them play last week at the [Camden] Roundhouse, which was such a good venue for them. They can pull off live concerts beautifully Peter Green - Man Of The World He’s just incredible. Out of all the musical superstars you had in the Sixties, he’s ranked as one of the geniuses, even if he is better known for his Fleetwood Mac stuff. This is a soulful record. One of those to play if you’re missing your girlfriend or you see her and you’re feeling a bit romantic. Four Tet - Love Cry Four Tet is just one guy and his computer and he’s quite out there on his own. I guess it’s dance music, but it’s a brilliant track to run to. When running you need a seven or eight-minute track because your average pop songs, as much as I love them, are over too quickly. I don’t listen to Rocky – I’m afraid someone would hear – so I’m a music snob in that sense. Laura Veirs - Silo Song This is from her album July Flame which I came across online. It’s so well produced and I keep listening to it a lot. She’s got a touch of Joni Mitchell about her and can be quite downbeat. I was listening to the whole album the other day while feeling miserable and generally a bit sorry for myself. Silo Song is haunting and makes for great listening when riding the Tube.

mitzi: Элен Пэйдж в интервью сказала, что Киллиан дал ей послушать альбом "For Emma, Forever Ago" исполнителя Бон Айвер, и она слушала его безостановочно. Я послушала...такая романичная инди-музычка....имхо Is there a band that you and a costar have bonded over? [Inception's] Cillian Murphy gave me the Bon Iver album , and I listened to it nonstop. I don't put nearly as much effort into finding good music as I used to.

Stella: как жаль что ссылочки на плейлисты с shortlist.com уже не работают =( а вот из последнего интервью для GQ: "Мне очень нравится альбом D by White Denim (слушать сюда) и новая запись Feist (тынц) В последнее время я слушал много танцевальной музыки. Мне нравятся ребята Modeselektor из Германии: Том Йорк (фронтмен Radiohed) спел немного с ними."
Auteur Noir: Stella Ахха, я тоже люблю Feist, и была приятно удивлена, что Киллу тоже нравится! Надо послушать, что там Эллен Пейдж нахваливает.
