Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler: Cillian Murphy. Before you start going off on him being "too creepy" for this role, I will first direct you to Cillian's other movies, namely The Wind That Shakes the Barley, Intermission, Sunshine, and The Edge of Love, where he was the farthest thing from a villain in those. And besides, I would think Nightcrawler can benefit from a great character actor that can portray dark and charming at the same time. As for the whole "But he already played Scarecrow!" argument, Ryan Reynolds is playing both Deadpool and Green Lantern; what's to stop Cillian from doing the same? And besides, Cillian's not playing anymore villains and I'd love to see him expand his wings in a more heroic role. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/Contemplations/news/?a=17645 CILLIAN MURPHY: Although the "Batman Begins" actor is admittedly a little thin for the part, Cillian Murphy nonetheless has a cold gaze and chalk-scraping voice that would work wonders for Blaze. In fact, given his skeletal frame, it's pretty easy to imagine his face melting away to reveal the terrifying flaming skull of Ghost Rider, isn't it? http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/04/29/secret-identity-who-should-play-ghost-rider/

Пух: "Seamus Reilly has "Breakfast" with Top Hollywood Stars - Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Stephen Rae and Brendan Gleeson The following article was written for the Fingal Independent by journalist Fergal Maddock: "NAUL teenager Seamus Reilly is one cool customer. Rubbing shoulders with some of Hollywood's, not to mention Ireland's, finest hasn't knocked a spot off him. Seamus and Cillian at the PremierYou see Seamus has appeared in the critically acclaimed Neil Jordan movie "Breakfast on Pluto", based on the book of the same name by Pat McCabe. The film, which had its premiere last month, stars Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Stephen Rae and Brendan Gleeson. And joining these luminaries was Seamus, who played the key role of 10-year-old Laurence in the film, a childhood friend of main character Patrick Braden, played in his youth by Conor McEvoy and later by Murphy. Set in the 1970s, Breakfast on Pluto follows the exploits of Braden, an endearing, but deceptively tough young man. Abandoned as a baby in his small Irish hometown and aware from a very early age that he is different, Patrick survives this harsh environment with the aid of his wit and charm, plus a sweet refusal to let anyone and anything change who he is. 19-year-old Seamus, who now attends Prosper Fingal Training Service, filmed his role at the back end of 2004, after being put forward for an audition by his then school St Michael¹s Special School in Skerries, when director Neil Jordan's agent came looking for somebody to play the role of Laurence. After impressing Jordan at the casting, Seamus was soon enjoying the life of a filmstar. Filming took him to Kilkenny and Belfast and staying in hotels, which he says was 'brilliant'. Seamus with Brendan Gleeson He was joined on his odyssey by his parents James and Aine and his younger brother, Finian. Finian himself is no stranger to the silver screen having appeared in 'Mad About Dog'. Seamus enjoyed his part, hanging out with Cillian, Brendan Gleeson and Liam Neeson who are all 'cool guys', according to the young Naul lad. In true Hollywood fashion, Seamus attended the premiere in the Savoy Cinema and enjoyed the experience, sitting in 'special seats' with his family and friends. But Seamus has a day job of course, attending the Rehabilitative Training Programme at Prosper Fingal where he does computers, self advocacy, life skills, horticulture, pottery and his own personal favourite, leisure. The RT programme is funded by the HSE and is very much about personal growth, maturity and independent living. His Programme Co-ordinator Stuart Curtis says that Seamus gets on very well with the group, bringing an awful lot of energy into the programme. "He has a great relationship with the staff," adds Stuart, who remains upbeat despite Seamus' jibe that he's not quite as good looking as Cillian Murphy. In his spare time, Seamus loves watching movies and his favourites are Interview with a Vampire, Intermission and Ned Kelly. He also enjoys eating out and meeting up with his girlfriend, Jessica Day."

(From Galway to Broadway and Back Again), (The Playboy of the Western World),- постановки театра Druid, в которой Мерфи участвовал в 2004-м году.

I was at a comedy gig on Friday night and another gig last night as well so this is the first time i've been online in a few days. Anyway the play consised of extracts from 15 of the most popular plays that the Druid Theatre company has put on since it started back in 1975. Cillian was in 3 of the extracts- At the Black Pig's D**e(which was a comedy and Cillian was hilarious in it! Loved his expressions), The Lonesome West(In which he played a priest writing a letter to two brothers. It was basically a monologue, as he stood in front of the crowd reading the letter aloud) and The Playboy of the Western World(in which he has apparently murdered his father and is now running away. He is also in love with a girl whose father isn't too happy about it!). He did sound a bit hoarse, especially in The Lonesome West but it didn't take away from his performance at all. It was such an amazing thing to be able to watch him live on stage- his intensity and love of acting really came acrossstrongly. I really hope he does go back and do more Theatre work, it'd be gret to see him in a full length production. I wish they'd put on Disco Pigs again. The night overall was just great craic and very funny at times. A lot of the extracts were comedies which was nice- we had a lot of laughs in between the more serious pieces. All the actors were very impressive. I loved the actor in The Walworth Farce who played the guy who moved like a robot. I don't know what his name is though- i'll have to find out. He was class. So afterwards i went to the bathroom, then my brother and i were just standing around looking at the booklets and things and i noticed there was a sign for a Bar upstairs, so we said we'd go and have a drink before we left. As we walked up the stairs i looked up, and there, at the top pf the stairs, leaning on the bannister and talking on his mobile phone was Mr. Cillian Murphy himself- looking right down at us walking up. I was in shock for a few seconds but i just walked casually past, well i hope it was casually. We ordered a drink and as we were drinking them, Cillian walked past- actually brushed right past us, about 4 times. I didn't talk to him though, because i knew i'd just end up saying something that sounded ridiculously stupid and spend the next week analysing it, going over it in my head and wishing i hadn't bothered saying anything at all! So instead i just enjoyed the time in the Bar knowing he was there too. I'm sure he would've been fine if i did approach him but i think it's much cooler that he could just be there, mingle with everyone(other actors and just audience members) and have a drink and not be hasseled. This way i can just remember that i shared the same Bar as him and had to move out of his way to let him past as he squeezed through the crowd just like everyone else in the packed little Bar. He seemed quite at ease although he left after about half an hour i think. All the other actors were there too but maybe he doesn't know them as well and felt kind of out of place, as i'm sure most people were looking twice at him all the time. As he walked past us one time he kind of did this little pursed lip smile and looked down at the floor as if he felt kind of uncomfortable. I know when we first saw him, on his mobile, he was asking whoever he was talking to, where they were and whether they were coming up for a drink. Maybe they didn't show up or wanted to go somewhere else a little quieter, so he left with them. Anyway i hope he had great night and i'm just glad i got to see him perform on stage and will have extremely fond memories of the whole night. It was a brilliant weekend overall- beautiful weather and 3 amazing gigs- one comedy(Simon Amstell is a genius ), one play and one amazing band called Villagers. Oh and yes he looked extremely handsome- that bone structure up close is stunning.
